Vision Board Ideas to Manifest Your Goals

Why should you make a vision board?

Once again, it’s time to make plans, reflect on your goals for the coming year, and take a *deep breath*.

All of that sounds beautiful and artistic, doesn’t it? In actuality, though, the beginning of a new year merely offers you the opportunity to cultivate optimism about the future. That could be slowing down and being present, forming new habits that help you feel your best, or carrying on with the daily pattern you have already established.

Vision boards are a popular trend on TikTok right now, captivating a diverse audience eager to explore their aspirations. People are developing their fantasy style for the year, crafting collages filled with vibrant images and motivational quotes that inspire them to pursue their goals. However, it is important to note that this activity is more of a creative exercise than a definitive to-do list; it serves as a visual reminder of what one wishes to achieve. The images you choose are personal to you, offering a glimpse into your inner desires, and can contain everything from your dreams, favourite things, and ‘someday’ aspirations to everyday moments that bring you joy. By engaging in this creative process, individuals not only clarify their visions for the future but also foster a sense of hope and excitement that can propel them forward on their journey.

I made my own one, so I decided to jump on the trend. I like to be able to see things so doing this was fun and got me thinking…

How to make

  1. Go on Pinterest!!

Login up or login in to your Pinterest account and begin searching. I considered the types of things I wanted to see on mine, including items I loved and knew would motivate me. To get the greatest results, be particular with your searches; for example, ‘positive mindset quotes’, ‘new flat female’, or, in my case, ‘gym aesthetic’.

My home screen

When you find an image you like, save it to your device. Continue until you’ve gotten all the inspiration you need.

2. Get Canva!!

Download Canva or get it online; there is a web version that does not require an app if you are using a desktop. You can sign up for free and utilise it as a starting point for your creative journey.

I used the whiteboard setting, and when you click ‘make a design’, it should appear in the drop down; there may be more alternatives, but I found this to be the most effective for placing photographs where I needed them.

From there, I started adding photographs I had saved from Pinterest and arranging them in a strategic, beautiful patchwork, and my mood board began to come to life!

You can experiment with image size, flipping, and moving to achieve the look you want. Have fun and enjoy!

3. Position it in a visible location!!

You’re all mood boarded out, then? Fantastic. Consider where you want to show your design after saving it to your device. You might make it your backdrop or lock screen, or you could print it out and place it on your wall or desk, creating a vibrant focal point in your space. You can even use it as a cover for your notebook or a custom card for a friend, adding a personal touch to your everyday items. You can put it anyplace as long as you’ll see it frequently enough and find inspiration and happiness in what you’ve made. Whether it’s by hanging it in your workspace or keeping it as a screensaver on your devices, ensure that it serves as a constant reminder of your creativity and passion. You simply don’t want all of your hard work to be lost forever in a documents folder, fading into obscurity when it has so much potential to spark joy and motivate you daily.

Here is mine 🙂

SO…this is where we part ways. I hope you enjoyed this piece.
